When You Get a New Digital Camera...

…you might want to try it out on your hubby and puppy.

First Attempt with My New Nikon D5000

And while they might be cooperative at first, they will eventually tire of your picture taking and try to hide….

…or complain that the flash is hurting their eyes.

Or maybe even turn the camera on you! (Note the puppy’s “Please leave me alone so I can nap” look.)

First Attempt with My New Nikon D5000

Today I invested in my first digital SLR camera, a Nikon D5000. I’ve been saving up birthday money and such for awhile now and found a good package deal that I went ahead and bought today. It was really scary spending that much money on a camera, but I like it so far. I obviously know very little, but I’m looking forward to learning all that it can do.

We had a really nice Easter and I hope you did as well. It was a bit of a low-key Easter compared to those of the past, but there is nothing wrong with that at all. It was actually rather welcomed. Levi got bunny marshmallows (his treat of choice) from Sam’s parents and a cute little basket (see above) from my parents. Spoiled much? Yes, but I’m not sure it’s by us.
Easter always holds a warm spot in my heart - it was 11 Easters ago this year that accepted Christ as my Savior!
Would you like to know more about becoming a Christian? I’d be more than happy to talk to you about it personally or you can find some great information on this link.
