Me: I love how when people see zombie things they think of us.
Hubby: Yeah, I don't know how that happened.
Me: It's because we are going to survive the zombie apocalypse with our super awesome planning.
Hubby: Oh no, we're not going to survive, we're going to thrive! We'll teach other's how to survive, make and sell weapons...

A Sexy Grover Cleveland
Me: So... T and I are going to be the only ones in the office on Monday. T is asking the boss if we can wear jeans. Lol
Hubby: Lol. You two should dress up as presidents. You would make a sexy Grover Cleveland.

Hold Your String
Hubby: How're you feeling?
Me (upon returning to work after being gone sick and taking some medicine that had some unexpected side effects): I feel as high as a kite!!
Hubby: Oh no!! Be sure someone holds your string!

Warm Hands, Warmer Heart Men's Mitts
The hubby is not a big fan of wearing gloves in everyday life because he doesn’t like the feeling of not being able to grip things. I made him these fingerless gloves (Men’s Fingerless Mitts) in hopes that it might help keep his hands a little warmer, while letting him grip things still. This felt like a very advanced knit for me, but was much easier than I expected it to be....

Be Mine Dishcloth and Towel
Despite really enjoying knitting and crochet, we don’t have many of my handmade goodies around our home. I realized that I had this issue one day when I was using my hand-knit pumpkin dishcloth because I love the feeling of hand-knit dishcloths. The only problem? I was using it in January. Yeah.. that’s much past pumpkin season in my world. I’ve been really at it this year,...

My First 5K
This weekend I did something I never, ever, dreamed I’d actually be able to do - run an entire 5K. Now I realize that for some people running 3.1 miles (especially at the speed [or lack thereof] that I go) isn’t a big deal, but it was to me. I’ve never been one to be athletic in any sense of the word. Ten weeks ago I started the Couch to 5K program. I could barely run the 60...
(Laughing) I’d put that on my blog, but it’s inappropriate.
(Pause)...

Me: He's everywhere!
Sam: Steven Root is the next Betty White.

I feel like chicken tonight! Like chicken tonight!
I made dinner tonight! (And unfortunately only have cameraphone pictures to show for it). There’s just something about spring that apparently makes me want to cook. I’m not sure what it is, but when the weather starts to change I find myself searching recipes online a little more and experimenting with recipes I’ve never tried before: “healthified” chicken...

One Year of Tumbling
So this week was my one year anniversary of blogging exclusively on Tumblr. How have I liked it? I still really love Tumblr and think it’s the right blogging solution for this point in my life. I obviously go in blogging spurts and Tumblr gives me the platform to blog just a little when I want to. It’s the perfect scrapbook of those little things I want to remember. Those things...

In Which We Discuss My Workplace's Weight Loss...
Me: The other team's leader brought in My Favorite Muffins today for Jen's birthday. They are SO good!!!! He's trying to sabotage us and I think it's working. I'd knock over a little kid for one of those chocolate chip cream cheese muffins!
Sam: You all should counter-strike. We can go get you all those big exercise balls and you can replace your office chairs with them. Then, you all can start high stepping it everywhere you go around the office and jog in place while making copies. We can even put weights around your phone receivers so that you can curl while answering calls.

NBA All Star Weekend
I didn’t always like watching the NBA - in fact, I’m not much for sports at all, besides watching professional wrestling (which is another story all together). The way I actually got into watching the NBA is kind of funny I suppose….
Sam and I were walking through the grocery store one day when I said that I needed a sports team to root for. He suggested some local college...
